Staycation: Chicago Greeter and InstaGreeter tours!

I just learned something new about the city: Citizens volunteer to give free tours! InstaGreeter and Chicago Greeter tours are offered for the Loop, the Riverwalk, and different neighborhoods throughout the city. All tours are FREE!

InstaGreeter tours

InstaGreeter walks are about an hour, and tours of the Loop are offered Friday, Saturday, and Sunday all year long. InstaGreeter walks from other locations, including the Chicago Riverwalk, are on a seasonal schedule. InstaGreeter walks do not require pre-registration.

Chicago Greeter tours

Greeter visits are two to four hours long and focus on whichever neighborhood and topics you’d like. You should register at least at least two weeks in advance for these.

You can also volunteer to lead these tours if you’d like to share your knowledge of our fair city.
