Chinese New Year in Chicago
Chicago’s Chinese New Year just keeps growing, so your best bet to celebrate isn’t just in Chinatown.
Be sure to stop by The Shops at North Bridge through February 17, as there are deals galore, including calligraphy and Chinese dance.
Saturday, February 9:
12pm, Argyle Lunar New Year Parade. Parade will kick-off at Argyle & Winthrop promptly at 1:00 PM and will head east along Argyle St., south along Sheridan Rd., west along Ainslie St., and north along Broadway to Argyle St.
Sunday, February 10:
1pm, Chinese Lunar New Year Parade, starting at Wentworth and 24th Ave.
February 17:
Various times, Arts & Culture Doc Fest. Free with advanced reservation. Sophia’s Choice presents some never-been-seen documentaries produced & sourced by the Centre of International Cultural Exchange in Beijing.
February 9 & 16:
3:30pm, Chinese New Year Dumpling Making Dinner at Hing Kee in Chinatown. $35-40.
