Chinese New Year 2015
Chicago’s Chinese New Year just keeps growing, so your best bet to celebrate isn’t just in Chinatown.
Be sure to stop by The Shops at North Bridge through March 1, as there are deals galore, including cooking and calligraphy classes.
Friday, February 19:
12pm, Chinese New Year Kickoff at the Chicago Cultural Center. at the Cultural Center, take your lunch break to enjoy traditional Chinese dance, music, puppetry, and martial arts.
Saturday, February 21:
1pm, Argyle Lunar New Year Parade. It starts in Uptown, heading east down Argyle, south onto Sheridan, west on Ainslie to Broadway, and back to Argyle.
11am-3pm, celebrate the Year of the Sheep in Glencoe at the Chicago Botanic Garden! Free.
Sunday, February 22:
1pm, Chinese Lunar New Year Parade, starting at Wentworth and 24th Ave.
