New Years Eve for less
Believe it or not, a less pricey yet fun New Years Eve is attainable. I’ve done a bit of the research, and I’ll keep posting what I find.¬†Post your own in comments!
Zocalo – A special 4-course prix-fixe, incl. a complimentary glass of cava. New Year’s Eve party favors, live band, DJ & dancing plus champagne/tequila toast after 9pm ($45). Space is limited.
Wildfire [all locations] – Offering their regular menu.
Volo Restaurant Wine Bar – Enjoy Volo’s full menu plus New Year’s Eve specials-2 early seatings (no cover) or our late seating (amuse, champagne toast, favors, balloon drop, dancing & more: $30pp).
Sweets & Savories – Opulent 4-course prix fixe featuring Caviar, Lobster & Tenderloin Oh MY! Seatings at 6pm & 9pm. BYOB & no corkage.
Sunda – Join us for your New Year’s eve celebration & complimentary champagne toast! Also join us for New Year’s day brunch!
Rosebud Theatre District – Spectacular specials will be offered along w. the regular a la carte menu. Complimentary noise-makers, hats & confetti for those in attendance at midnight.
Province – In addition to our regular menu Chef Randy Zweiban will offer seasonal & celebratory menu specials paired w. cocktails & wine by beverage director Jeff Donahue.
Lockwood Restaurant and Bar – We will feature a 2-course menu is ($45/person), a 3-course menu ($55), or indulge in the Chef’s Signature Tasting menu ($95). Complimentary favors at midnight!
Jacky’s Bistro on Prairie – Enjoy a special 5-course prix-fixe menu w. complimentary cocktail & party favors for each guest ($65/adult; $90 w. wine pairing). Prix-fixe menu available only after 7pm.
Elate – Elate offers 2 special seating/set menu options. From 6-6:30, we offer 4-courses ($55). & from 9-9:30, we offer 5-courses w. a champagne toast ($75).
Big Jones – Enjoy an artisanal 4-course Table d’h?¥te menu ($44) with optional beverage pairings, cocktail specials, & unique Southern touches, plus complimentary toast at midnight.
676 Restaurant and Bar – We are offering a 4-course prix-fixe menu from 5pm-1am w. a complimentary glass of Champagne & live jazz from 9pm-1am. $69/person.
33 Club – 4-course pre fixe $65/person incl. champagne toast, party favors, balloon drop, dancing, & DJ. Bar open until 2am.
Orbit Room -¬†Can’t blame the hoards of local young professionals at this Logan Square Newcomer, especially with attractions like an included open bar, passed appetizers, fun party favors and a midnight toast. Plus, arrive late and pay $20 for free drinks for the first hour of ’08. 9pm; $55 in advance, $65 at the door; $20 for one-hour open bar after midnight.
Motel Bar -¬†Eight bucks buys a bevy of cocktails made with champagne all night at this River North favorite. A champagne toast is included and a DJ spins–a simple but effective answer to all the New Year?s hype. 8pm; No cover.
Joey’s Brickhouse -¬†Besides a few dinner specials, everything remains pretty much normal during this local New Year’s gathering. Look out for a few drink specials–but that?s about all. 5pm; no cover.
Prost - Hoist massive mugs of beer all night at this lively northside celebration including live German music and a performance by Modern Day Savage. A buffet is stocked with brats, weisswurst, weinerschnitzel and plenty of kraut. 7pm; $20.
Irish American Heritage Center - This annual bash is all about keeping cozy—from the blazing fireplace to the onslaught of pints. The deal includes appetizers, party favors, a champagne toast and live performances by Paddy Homan and The John Williams Cabaret. 7pm: $25-$30
N9ne Steakhouse & Ghostbar – First, an early celebration with seating from 5:30-7:00PM. No pre-set menu, you decide your dining delight! All reservations for this seating require a pre-paid $40 per person food and beverage minimum. [There is an 8pm seating for $80 w/admission to Ghostbar for free, again no pre-set menu with a pre-paid $80 per person food and beverage minimum.] Keep in mind reservations are non-refundable here!
Ghostbar will be offering its own private celebration including a passed hors d’oeuvres reception from 9-11PM, a complimentary glass of champagne, DJ and dancing for $20.10 (plus tax and gratuity).¬† DJ and dancing will continue for the remainder of the evening as we ring in 2010!
